Corruption and stability in China

Quando: 08/03/2017

In his widely praised new book, China’s Crony Capitalism, Minxin Pei described “a Leninist regime in an advanced stage of decline” due to endemic corruption. Arthur Kroeber, editor of The China Quarterly and member of our Institute, is an astute observer of China’s economy and society who has lived in Beijing for many years. In this seminar, Kroeber will discuss internal tensions as they affect China’s relations with Brazil and other countries. Here is a link to a recent article in Veja magazine by Norman Gall, executive director of our Institute, comparing corruption in Russia, China and Brazil.

This seminar will be conducted in English.
